The COHNORS Preconference will bring together experts in the field of oral/head and neck oncology to share recent groundbreaking developments as well as explore controversial topics in benign and malignant disease of the oral/head and neck region. The preconference also will serve as a format to foster the ongoing collaboration necessary for success of AAOMS members practicing in this subspeciality area.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:
  1. Discuss the role of adjuvant immunotherapy in the treatment of advanced resectable oral/head and neck cancer.
  2. Identify necessary concepts for application of immunotherapy strategies in the overall treatment of oral/head and neck cancer.
  3. Understand algorithms described in the AAOMS Position Paper for decision-making in the treatment of the N0 neck in oral/head and neck cancer patients.
  4. Identify principles related to surgical treatment of benign and malignant parotid tumors including options when nerve sacrifice is required.
