The purpose of this session is to identify, define and explore topics in oral and maxillofacial surgery for dental students attending the Annual Meeting.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:
  1. Recognize the benefits of being a specialist in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
  2. Discuss the details for applying to oral and maxillofacial surgery residency programs.
  3. Weigh the benefits of mentorship programs and externship opportunities when applying to postdoctoral residency programs.
