Meet annual OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen and Hazard Communication training requirements in this session. Attendees will be provided with templates designed to: simplify OSHA training for the OMS team, inspire conversations on OSHA safety and help reduce accidents. Learn how to manage an exposure incident and respond to an OSHA inspection. Take home tools include checklists for conducting a mock OSHA inspection, a sample exposure incident plan, a new employee OSHA training checklist and other helpful resources.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:
  1. Explain the basic elements of a Bloodborne Pathogen and Hazard Communication program in the OMS setting.
  2. Understand how to set up an OSHA safety program, utilize an OSHA manual and create personalized written safety plans to meet OSHA requirements.
  3. Explain how to prevent and manage exposure incidents.
  4. Recognize hazards present in the OMS setting.
  5. Learn how to achieve a safety culture.
