Recruiting the best and brightest to the specialty of oral and maxillofacial surgery requires proactive and engaging strategies that begin early in a student's education. This master class will provide attendees with innovative methods to transform dental students from passive learners into enthusiastic and committed future colleagues.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:
  1. Develop strategies to inspire dental students to pursue oral and maxillofacial surgery as a career and actively engage with the specialty early in their education.
  2. Cultivate a passion for the academic aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery and foster a desire to contribute to the field's advancement.
  3. Implement methods to recruit, mentor and prepare the next generation of OMS professionals for roles in education, research and leadership.
