Donald P. Lewis, Jr., DDSis a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is currently in private practice in Cleveland, Ohio. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry, and did his post- graduate Residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at The University Hospitals of Cleveland. He is also a Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine.
He has published over fifteen articles dealing with white-collar crime in local, state and national publications and authored two books; Employee Embezzlement and Fraud in the Dental Office: Scams, Schemes, and Broken Dreams, and Your Roadmap to Financial Integrity in the Dental Practice: A Teamwork Approach to Fraud Protection and Security. These books are written exclusively to address this growing problem in the healthcare profession.
Dr. Lewis is the Chairman and originator of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Committee on Software Development and Computer Technology, which has developed a produced OMSVision®, the practice management software endorsed by American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS).
Due to his voluntary commitment to this project, Dr. Lewis received the first ever Special Citation Award in October 2007 for his many years of expertise devoted to the successful launching of the OMSVision®.
