Mark Ryser, DMD, MD, FACS attended medical school and postgraduate training at Louisiana State University in New Orleans. He completed a surgical internship in general surgery and oral surgery residency at Charity Hospital and lived in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina. His residency provided extensive training and exposure to all facets of oral and maxillofacial surgery, including corrective facial and orthognathic surgery, dental implants, dentoalveolar and temporomandibular joint surgery, bone grafting, complex facial trauma and reconstruction, oral pathology, and facial cosmetic surgery.
He is a diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (AAOMS) and has also served in the AAOMS House of Delegates for many years. He currently serves on the committee of Continuing Education and Professional Development (CCEPD). Additionally, Dr. Ryser has received multiple awards at national and international meetings for his research and publications in dental implants and craniofacial biology. He practices the entire scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with a particular interest in dental implants and orthognathic surgery. He has acted as a sub-Investigator on multiple clinical trials for post-op pain following third molar extraction. Clinical trial experience includes phase II, phase III trials.
When he isn't providing top-quality care to patients, Dr. Ryser loves spending time with his wife and family. He also enjoys riding dirt bikes outdoors with his son and Aspire partners, CrossFit and working in his yard.
