Tim Weber Jr., MD, DMD, is a native of St. Louis, Missouri and currently serves as a Chief Resident in the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program. He completed the accelerated six-year BA/MD program at the University of Missouri–Kansas City in 2020, where he developed an interest in oral and maxillofacial surgery during medical school. He was accepted into the unique UAB DMD/OMS Certificate Program, commonly known as the “reverse track,” through which he earned his dental degree while continuing his residency training. He has authored multiple publications in JOMS, with research focusing on health literacy in orthognathic surgery, the reverse-track training pathway, and the impact of tranexamic acid on the use of hypotensive anesthesia in orthognathic surgery, which was recognized as a finalist for the JOMS Stanton Award.
