Dr. Prashanth K. Haribabu serves as full time faculty & Unit Director of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Missouri School of Dentistry & Oral Health (part of A. T. Still University of Health Sciences), Saint Louis, MO
Dr. Haribabu, received his D.D.S from University of Detroit Mercy, Michigan and M.S.D focussed on Orofacial Pain and Temporomandibular joint disorders and fellowship training from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, State University of New Jersey.
Dr. Haribabu prior to immigrating to the United States, he graduated from his formal training in dental surgery (BDS) from Sri Ramachandra Dental College and Research Institute. He specialized in the surgical branch of dentistry and completed residency training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery from SRM Dental College, Chennai, India
Recently inducted as a fellow of ICD - International college of Dentists (USA Section) in 2023. He has lectured extensively and invited keynote speakers in the U.S and Internationally focussing on office based Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Oro-Facial Pain/ Temporomandibular Joint Disoderdes including post surgical neuropathic pain, neuralgia's & tmj disorders. He is honored to serve as an expert reviewer for many journals including the ‘pain & neuroscience’ section of Journal of american dental association (JADA), Quientessence International, Indian Journal of Research.
Proudly maintains active membership and association with the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS), American College of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons (ACOMS), American Dental Association (ADA), American Academy of Orofacial Pain (AAOP), American academy of Implant Dentistry and Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons of India (AOMSI).
Apart from being attached with the University based Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Unit in St. Louis, he maintains an adjunct position with the Dept of Otolaryngology with Washington University in St. Louis- BJC hospital, St. Louis. Additionally, he maintains an active private practice in the greater St. Louis & St. Peters area in the State of Missouri, US.
