Dr. Afzal completed his dental and medical training in the UK before moving to the USA where he completed OMFS residency training at the University of Maryland Medical Center and R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, MD. He then completed a Royal College of Surgeons (England) TMJ fellowship at Aintree University Hospital in Liverpool, UK. He is currently an Attending Surgeon in the Division of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Cook County Health in Chicago, IL.
