This session will define the low and short modification of the bilateral sagittal split osteotomy (BSSO) technique. Speakers will identify and analyze its technical variation to allow participants to take away the confidence to perform the procedures and understand arguments against it. Discussions will focus on distinguishing the pros and cons of stock versus custom hardware in orthognathic surgery including cost, effect on OR time and outcomes.
