My name is Praveen Kumar Guntaka, DMD, MD, and I am a fourth-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery resident at the Mount Sinai Health System in New York City. My interests in OMFS include advocacy, global surgery, resident wellness, surgical education, and the integration of artificial intelligence into surgical workflows. Since joining ROAAOMS in 2023, I have seen how residents can meaningfully shape the future of our specialty through leadership, collaboration, and advocacy. I hope to continue that path during my time in ROAAOMS and do my part in pushing resident voices forward within the profession.
