Austin D. Street, M.D., FASA

Dr. Street is an Clinical Associate Professor of Anesthesiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. He has been in practice for 15 years, with the first two in private practice, followed by the last 13 in academics at UTSW. His main academic interests lie in Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocols and improving patient safety/outcomes. Under his leadership, the Enhanced Recovery after Surgery (ERAS) program was established at UT Southwestern in late 2016. He was honored to be recognized as a fellow of the ASA (FASA) in 2/2018. In 2020, he was named the Medical Director of the Enhanced Recovery Program. The program has grown to 20 unique surgical pathways and impacts over 4500 patients a year at our institution. He has authored numerous papers and given local, regional and national lectures. He is married to a Pediatric Emergency Medicine physician, Megan, and has 3 incredible children. Importantly, he is honored to be asked to be a part of the AAOMS meeting and is thankful for his OMFS colleagues.
