Peter D Quinn, DMD,MD is the Chief Executive Physician [ Emeritus ] for the University of Pennsylvania Health System. Prior to the position, he was chair of the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Penn for 23 years. He was the lead developer for the Biomet Alloplastic Total TMJ Replacement System and authored two editions of the Atlas of Temporomandibular Surgery . He served as President of the American Society of Temporomandibular Surgeons [ 2009-2011 ] and recently received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Society of Temporomandibular Surgeons at their annual meeting in San Diego, CA in 2025.
