James A. Phero, DDS, MD, Assistant Professor, Division of Oral and maxillofacial Surgery, University of Cincinnati

Dr. Phero is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon whose clinical practice focuses on corrective jaw surgery, facial trauma and reconstruction, temporomandibular joint surgery and the management of benign head and neck pathology. He has been active in academic education, research and administrative activities since joining the UC Surgery Department in 2019. Dr. Phero has a passion for and is active at UC and nationally in team simulation training for evaluation and management of medical emergencies. He is currently on the board of directors for the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology and is the current president of the Ohio Dental Society of Anesthesiology.
