Owner and Free to Smile Foundation Founder
Northwest Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
Worthington, Ohio
Dr. Byron Henry is passionate about Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He enjoys practicing the full scope of this specialty, yet has a particular interest in orthognathic surgery, implant reconstructive surgery and cleft lip and palate repair.
Dr. Henry attended dental school at The Ohio State University and completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the Indiana University medical Center. He continued his surgical training by completing a one year Fellowship in Pediatric Cleft and Craniofacial Surgery at Oklahoma University Health and Science Center. This fellowship allowed Dr. Henry to enhance his training in cleft lip and palate and craniofacial surgery, including orthognathic surgery. He is the only Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in the Columbus area who has completed this type of training and his hope is to use this comprehensive blend of training to bring the absolute best care for patients in the Columbus area.
Dr. Henry and his wife, Stacy, founded the Free to Smile Foundation in 2008. This organization is a non-profit that provides free cleft lip and palate reconstruction to the underprivileged around the world. The Free to Smile Foundation services multiple sites worldwide, giving these underserved children a chance to lead a better life. Dr. Henry is proud of the Free to Smile Foundation and all it has done to leave the world a better place. Dr. Henry has participated in over 50 missions over nearly two decades and has no plans to slow down soon!
When he is not in the office or overseas, he enjoys every moment spent with his wife and two children. He is a tea enthusiast, and enjoys the outdoors and health and fitness activities.
