Joseph W. Gallagher, JD, LLM is a shareholder, attorney and consultant with The Health Care Group and Health Care Law Associates, P.C. For more than 25 years, he has represented dental and medical professionals and their practice organizations on a wide variety of legal and business matters (with a focused specialty representation of oral and maxillofacial surgery practices). Joe has extensive experience with co-ownership arrangements, practice sales, federal health law, personnel law, practice valuations, and in structuring contracts (such as buy-in and pay-out, practice sales, employment agreements, mergers and joint ventures). He designs and implements group compensation plans and deferred compensation arrangements. Joe has lectured and written for numerous groups, societies and publications. He has been a contributing author on numerous AAOMS-sponsored publications and has been the publisher and editor of On Managing (a monthly newsletter for medical/dental office managers).
